Morgan Jerkins is an award-winning writer, editor, and educator whose work explores the intersections of culture, media, and meaning.

The author of four books — including a New York Times bestseller — and a two-time National Magazine Award winner, Jerkins has held editorial roles at Medium, New York Magazine, and ESPN. Her original work has been featured in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, The Atlantic, and Rolling Stone, among many others.

Over the past eight years, she has taught fiction and nonfiction at institutions such as Columbia University, Princeton University, The New School, Pacific University, and Leipzig University.

She is also the creator of Loop Theory, a digital content series that examines recurring historical patterns in today’s news cycles, cultural trends, and public discourse — revealing how the past continually echoes in the present.

Jerkins is based in Brooklyn.
